Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I have been practicing law since 1981, and have been practicing as a sole practitioner in my current location since 1998.
What is your primary product or service?
I represent individuals injured as a result of various types of accidents, and the bulk of my practice is representing individuals who have suffered financial loss due to the negligent representation by their lawyer (legal malpractice).
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have handled legal malpractice cases since I first started practicing law in 1981, and over the years I have refused to advertise in any fashion so I don't get consulted that often on personal injury cases. I believe I am safe in saying that I handle more legal malpractice cases than anyone else in the Central Florida area. The bottom line is that when someone makes a mistake, regardless of their profession or who they are, they should be held accountable for whatever injuries or financial damages they cause.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am board certified in civil trial by the Florida Bar, and I have been listed in Florida's Superlawyers. The Wall Street Journal has listed me as one of Florida's leading attorneys, and local publications have listed me among the best lawyers in Orlando. When someone retains me to represent them, I personally handle their case and it will not be handed off to a "case manager" to handle.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I only have one location, and that is in the Wells Fargo Building on Magnolia Avenue in Orlando, just north of Colonial Drive. I have no plans to expand.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From the corner of Colonial Drive and Magnolia Avenue, go north on Magnolia and the Wells Fargo building is on the left two blocks north. My office is located on the 13th floor in suite 1301.
What type of payments do you accept?
I only work on a contingent fee basis, and use the standard contingent fee agreement approved by both the Florida Bar and the Supreme Court of Florida.
Which areas do you service?
All of Central Florida within about a 2 hour drive from Orlando.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am self employed and the sole stockholder in my professional association.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm on Fridays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That I care about my clients.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Through Christ, all things are possible.
